Based at the Viaduct Events Centre in central Auckland and with over 700 registrations, this was SAP’s highest attended User Group event in Australasia, and TTC Global were fortunate enough to be positioned with a booth sandwiched between a popular coffee stand and the entrance to the main stage.

Add to this the fact that our appealing merchandise once again helped to draw in attendees, and the group of us manning the booth were engaged in vibrant discussions with users from various NZ companies throughout the day. A recurring theme in our conversations was the rapid changes within the SAP landscape, emphasising the critical roles of test automation and AI.

Perfectly aligned with this, TTC Global delivered a presentation in collaboration with one of our major clients, Mitre 10, on the success of SAP test automation using Tricentis TOSCA. A packed room enjoyed hearing from Brendon Russell, our lead architect on the engagement, along with Test Automation Manager, Kauser Sultana, and client Programme Director, Ashley Colyer.

Other notable presentations included one given by Tauranga City Council who partnered with SAP to talk about the speed with which they are now deploying functional applications based on their Business Transformation Platform, and Pan Pac Forest, who successfully completed their SAP implementation despite facing significant adversity, including flooding at their premises. Over half of their testing was conducted in a disaster recovery environment.

In fact, many of the presentations given on the day involved clients of TTC Global – Fletcher Building, Foodstuffs North Island, Foodstuffs South Island, and Zespri.

The highlight of the day should have been the attendance on our stand of our esteemed leader, Grant Borrie, but even his presence was eclipsed by a hero of his own, All Black legend Tana Umanga.

Tana was both articulate and interesting in his answers to the questions posed by SAP’s Nick Watson, focusing consistently on the theme of high performing teams, and how playing for the All Blacks was in many ways a lot easier than playing club rugby. What resonated with me in this Q&A session was:

“Surround yourself with elite performers and you only have to focus on doing your own job well!”

This parallels our philosophy at TTC Global — encouraging our customers to entrust quality assurance to the professionals allows them to focus on their core responsibilities.

We’re here to make sure that your SAP experience is as smooth as Tana’s dodging skills. If you are keen for a copy of some of the slides that were presented at the session, or want to talk independent SAP Quality Assurance, let me know via our Contact Us page.
