Insights from Testing Talk Melbourne 2025
We had a great time gathering with Australia's testing community at Testing Talks Melbourne 2025. Read event insights and access presentations in our latest blog!
TTC Global was proud to be part of Testing Talks Melbourne 2025, held on 15 October. It was a packed day that brought together Australia’s best and brightest from the testing and quality engineering community - exploring everything from observability and automation to AI orchestration and the evolving role of testers in the enterprise.
For me personally, it was an energising opportunity to connect with familiar faces and meet new ones. As TTC Global continues to grow our presence across Victoria, events like this are invaluable for deepening industry connections and staying at the forefront of what’s next in testing.
With our CEO, Matt Wiggins also in attendance, we had meaningful conversations with customers and partners about how we’re evolving QA to match the speed of modern delivery and how AI, automation, and strategic quality are driving that shift.
Standout Sessions & Themes
The speaker lineup was exceptional, with insights that struck a chord with many of us in the room:
- Elena Zagari (Coles) explored how quality engineering leadership is driving product velocity while keeping risk in check - a pragmatic lens many teams needed.
- Sharada Ramesh (Telstra) highlighted the power of chapter-led engineering culture, reinforcing that quality is everyone’s job, not a phase.
- Lalitha Yenna (Employment Hero) shared practical ways to coach teams toward collective ownership of quality.
- Namresh Saraiya (Tabcorp) brought a refreshingly real view of modern QA in high-stakes environments.
- Dhruthi Ranjith (Suncorp) underscored the evolving skills of the principal test engineer in an AI-accelerated world.
- And a nod to David Hayman (ANZTB) for championing community standards and continuous learning.

3 of My Key Takeaways
- Quality Engineering is Everyone’s Job
A clear throughline of the event: testing is no longer the responsibility of a single team. Product, engineering, design, and operations are all increasingly part of a shared quality culture.
- Tooling Without Strategy Won’t Scale
The best automation or AI strategy fails without a strong quality framework, governance, and leadership buy-in. Tooling is only as powerful as the strategy behind it.
- The Community is Our Edge
Perhaps the biggest strength of Testing Talks is the depth of collaboration. Whether it was hallway chats or panel debates, there’s a collective drive to lift quality practices across the ecosystem.
Events like Testing Talks Melbourne 2025 remind me why this community is so special. It’s about people, shared learning, and bold thinking.
I’m excited to carry this momentum forward as TTC Global continues to partner with organisations across Australia to deliver testing strategies that enable innovation at scale.
