AI may be the new UX… but testing is still the real MVP

On Friday, 15 August, TTC Global joined SAP customers and partners at the New Zealand SAP User Group and SAP Summit at the Viaduct Event Centre in Auckland for the largest SAP user group meeting in New Zealand, so far, with over 730 attendees. The day’s theme was clear: how to bring AI into real-world business use cases to deliver meaningful value from investments in SAP.

Intelligent Applications and the Business Data Cloud

The event opening featured Niclas Schlautkoetter from SAP, who leads the architecture of SAP’s newly launched Business Data Cloud (BDS). In his keynote, The Rise of Intelligent Applications, Niclas gave a strong overview of how AI and data are reshaping enterprise applications.

He highlighted two key ideas:

  • “AI is the new UX” – businesses need to think of AI not as an add-on, but as the interface to smarter decisions and processes.
  • With BDS and intelligent applications, SAP is delivering “business insights as a service.”

Dave Scullin, Zespri’s Chief Digital Officer, and a TTC Global customer, talked about BDS bringing flexibility. It allows them to bring together non-SAP data for their decision making. They ship fruit to over 50 countries. Now they can use data from widely disparate sources around the world to make real-time informed decisions.

It was an inspiring vision for how data and AI will shape the next generation of SAP-enabled enterprises.

Bottling success, not bugs

The value of strong partnerships was brought to life with a joint session by Raymond Dee from Suntory and Brendan Russell from TTC Global. They shared how Suntory’s new beverage factory went live on time and with zero blocking defects, thanks to the use of Tricentis’ testing and automation tools and TTC Global’s delivery expertise.

This story was a great example of how collaboration and the right tooling create confidence in complex transformation projects.

Trusting AI Outcomes

Neil Fitzgerald and Mei Reyes-Tsai, from TTC Global, delivered an engaging presentation on how organisations can build trust in AI-driven outcomes. Their message was clear: when businesses work with seasoned experts in testing, quality, and AI, they can trust that the insights and recommendations produced by intelligent applications are reliable.

Connecting with SAP Customers

During the break sessions, TTC Global’s team — Neil, Mei, Shane, Brendan, and Steve — connected with many SAP customers. Conversations ranged from how to strengthen quality across applications, data, and AI, to how TTC Global can support organisations looking to make the leap from ECC to S/4HANA.

Looking Ahead

The summit reinforced that SAP customers in New Zealand are ready to embrace AI as a practical driver of value, and that trusted partners like TTC Global play a critical role in helping them succeed. From enabling defect-free go-lives to building confidence in AI insights, TTC Global is committed to supporting organisations as they transform with SAP.
