Low key yet effective – rounding up the year that was for the Taranaki Test Professionals Meetup

That’s a wrap for 2022. Our last Taranaki Test Professionals Meetup was held on 22nd November 2022 at Manifold, New Plymouth.
Timing and weather meant a smaller than usual turnout, equally a more personal discussion around the state of testing in the Taranaki area and potential themes for the 2023 series of Taranaki Test Professionals Meetups. The meetup started with the release of the survey [link to Survey PDF] conducted on local views of the shape of testing in 2023, along with a comparison of the similar survey conducted for the Tauranga Test Professionals Meetup [link to Survey PDF].
General consensus was that Taranaki was still in the initial phase of test professional maturity. If we were to look at the testing being conducted across the Taranaki organisations through the lens of TMMI there is movement towards Managed with some organisations individually at the Measured stage. Topics for the 2023 Taranaki Test Professionals Meetup will focus on the shift in maturity for the community as a whole.
