TTC Proud to Support Norths Rugby Sevens Tournament

Continuing a long tradition of supporting communities and grass-roots events, TTC is proud to be a sponsor for the 2020 Norths Rugby Sevens Tournament.

The Norths Rugby club are the current National Club Sevens Champions and holders of the William Wavell Wakefield Middlesex County Cup.

The Middlesex Cup is a prestigious trophy held by the national inter-club seven-a-side champion team. It was presented to the NZRFU by the Middlesex County Rugby Football Union in 1950. The tournament was started in Dunedin in 1951 and first won by local club Zingari-Richmond.

Norths Rugby Club are the current champions for the Premier men’s and reserve grades, holders of the Jubilee and Ed Chaney cups. The Premier Women’s team were the champions in 2018 and beaten finalists in 2019.

The 2020 Rugby Sevens Tournament will be held at the Jerry Collins Stadium in Porirua on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th of February 2020.
